General Conference, A Baptism, Saying Goodbye To A Dear Friend | 6 Oct 2014

What a week!! I don´t have much time, but this weekend was probably one of the BEST WEEKENDS EVER!!

First off General Conference was inspiring, uplifting, and definitely a call to repentance! What a blessing to have the chance to listen to modern day prophets and apostles of God. This is Christ´s Church and it is the only Church lead by Him personally. My fav talks, Elder Klebingat, Elder Carlos O Godoy, President Uchtdorf, and of course President Monson´s. I have a list of things I need to change in my life, and I hope to accomplish it before the next General Conference in six months.

And what could make general conference weekend even more sweet...? a BAPTISM! :) What a miracle that H got baptized this weekend. A hard core alcoholic who immeaditely quit his addiction after a preisthood blessing given by a man worthy to administer the ordinances of the priesthood. H is one of the most simple people I have ever met, but he has a strong testimony that Jesus Christ is His Redeemer and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. ANYONE can come to know that this Church is true. It doesn't take intellect or sophistication just a humble heart ready to accept an answer from God. The same man who gave H the blessing baptized him Saturday night. :) I cannot even express how full of happiness my heart was/is. Misisonary work is the GREATEST work there is!

A leaves for her mission this week...I am going to miss her so much! She is seriously one of my best friends down here and helped me so much during those first couple rough weeks.

I don't have much time today because we went to the aquarium and the bus was super late...but know that I love ya'll to pieces. Choose the right, and be grateful for the internet because in case you missed Conference this weekend you can still watch the talks at your finger tips pretty much whereever you are.

The gospel is true. Revelation is real. God still speaks. LISTEN to Him!

Love,

Sister Byrne
